Celebrity Closet

You know you’re in Hollywood when practical jeans and tees share closet space with dreamy, swoonworthy tulle gowns.

In jeweler Loree Rodkin’s Los Angeles apartment, which she decorated with the help of Martyn Lawrence-Bullard, the dressing room reflects the home’s subdued color scheme. The island of drawers and shelving by Poliform provides ample storage and display space for Rodkin’s shoe collection. The vintage brass pendant lights are from Rewire, and the antique bowl is from Jacques Carcanagues Gallery.

The shoe collections alone will knock you out … but you won’t want to miss the jewelry, handbags, vanities and chandeliers either

And to stay extra-organized, the star has a whole separate fitness closet (that comes equipped with its own fridge just for Fiji water).

Surprising nobody, Mariah’s closet (home to this massive assortment of shoes) is her “favorite room in the house.”

Shoe designer Brian Atwood’s minimalist dressing room keeps clothing — and clutter — out of sight. The dark surfaces and vintage furnishings echo the decor throughout his Milan apartment, which was decorated by Nate Berkus. The daybed is by Poul Kjaerholm for Fritz Hansen.

Giuliana Rancic critiques celebrity fashion for a living…so she better have a stocked closet to back it up. Her 200-square foot closet is the perfect space to get dressed in seconds.

It’s no surprise that J.Crew creative director Jenna Lyons counts her wall of shoes among her favorite things. Lyons converted a bedroom in her Brooklyn, New York, townhouse into a closet and shrine for her footwear.

As if you needed another reminder to stop leaving your shoes piled up on your closet floor or next to the front door, Nate Berkus just retweeted a picture of his impeccably organized footwear collection. Talk about closet envy. The beloved designer retweeted footwear brand Stubbs & Wooton’s photo of his shoe closet.

The model’s Nashville closet benefits from regular Goodwill-bound purges, which means it’s about time to schedule a trip to the Nashville Goodwill right about now.

The star is so committed to keeping things organized, she started a feature on her app called KHLO-C-D.

Yep, her closet is so huge it requires two slides. And we also love that she has her own Kohl’s denim designs as part of her massive wall of jeans, as well as the style inspiration placed all around the room. We just can’t choose our favorite part!

The talk show host’s office/closet combo is noteworthy for many reasons, but we’d give top billing to the crystal-to-square-foot ratio.

The Real Housewives of New York star recently renovated her Hamptons home, but if you ask us, there’s one room that more chic c’est la vie than the rest — her meticulously organized closet.

There’s a lot to love in Chelsea’s massive closet, but if you’re looking for us, we’ll be over by the built-in bar.

We already know that fashion blogger Aimee Song, the mastermind behind SongofStyle.com, has an amazing sense of style. But aren’t you curious as to where she stores each coveted #OOTD (outfit of the day)? Her ultra-glam style clearly translates into her interior design aesthetic, and her closet is no exception. Song’s dressing area is complete with a luxe zebra rug, a table stacked high with fashion books and flowers, and of course, an abundance of clothes and accessories all perfectly organized.

She’s a Kardashian grandchild and gets sent custom clothing from top designers around the world, so the toddler certainly isn’t going to have just a few dresser drawers to contain her wardrobe.

You know you’re really committed to your beauty routine when you buy a chandelier-inspired display for your fragrance collection.

If the sight of dozens of designer bags, shoes and scarves get your heart racing, you’re going to love Catherine Zeta-Jones’ racecar-themed tour through the halls (yes, halls) of her incredibly luxe lair.

Oh sure, the bags and jewels are dazzling, but this closet tour is really worth watching to see if Giggy makes a cameo.

Host-provocateur of late night, executive producer, and style aficionado Andy Cohen merged three apartments in Greenwich Village, and definitely did not skimp on the closet space. With the help of designer Eric Hughes, they came up with a design just as swanky as the rest of his pad, with the amount of storage every New Yorker dreams of.

Every sneakerhead in the world started drooling when they saw the absurdly organized setup the rapper has created for his giant collection.

It’s worth it to watch AJ’s closet tour if for no other reason than to see sister Aly recognize things certain pieces of her own – and steal them back.

When fashion designer Lela Rose gets dressed it’s a red carpet affair, literally. Her New York City townhouse, designed by the architects at WORKac, boasts a huge walk-in closet complete with flooring fit for a movie premiere. The contemporary closet is large enough to house all of Rose’s favorite dresses, most from her label, and her equally extensive, envy-inducing shoe collection (Celine, Valentino, Charlotte Olympia, Manolo Blahnik… swoon!).

The dressing room in the Manhattan apartment of Estée Lauder creative director Aerin Lauder Zinterhofer is a tribute to her grandmother’s signature style — including Estée’s favorite blue-and-white color scheme and Gracie wall coverings. The chandelier is by Baguès, and the circa-1970 desk is by Gabriella Crespi.

The WAGS Atlanta power couple’s closet functions as an office, as well a showcase for some of their most treasured possession and an incredible his-and-hers sneaker collections.

We don’t know what thrills us more about the diva’s enormous closet – that her shoes have their own room, or that her famous Versace dress has pride of place on a mannequin.

The actress was trying to get our opinion on the possibly questionable pants she’s sporting, but all we could see was that monster shoe wall.

Designer Jenni Kayne’s envy-inducing shoe closet is the perfect place for her to display her D’Orsay flats. “They are my favorite,” she says. “I live in them and come home with new colors each season.” As far as quantity is concerned, the L.A.-based designer says she has “too many to count.”

Clicking on Blake’s Instagram of her shoe collection takes you to a lust-inducing list of designer tags, from bestie Christian Louboutin to YSL to Lanvin.

The designer and Hollywood stylist is opening up her closet for a new Facebook series, #StyleYourself. “I believe that every woman needs a uniform,” says Zoe in a clip of the series she posted to Instagram. After giving us a peek of her sunglasses collection and color-coordinated shoe racks—which rival those of any department store—Zoe takes us into model Rocky Barnes’ closet for a styling session.

“I believe trends are never completely done with,” says Lubov Azria, Chief Creative Officer of BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP, on Refinery29. “If you incorporate your own style, you can bring a trend back and make it your own.”

The Real Housewife styles her closet more like a Real Museum – and says she has racks collapsing under the weight of all her clothes.

Christina’s handy tip for finding the perfect pair of shoes? They’re all grouped by designer, but of course!

Kourtney is ostensibly showing off her waist trainer, but we can’t take our eyes off that color-coordinated wall of heels.

“It was important for me to feel inspired when I walked into my closet,” Monique Lhuillier told ELLEDecor.com of why she chose to ditch the formerly white-laminate covered space for something more unified with her other decor. “The rest of my home also features grey tones and textures, so I wanted to stay within that color palette.”

Jennifer Aniston Anoints The Home Trend We Never Knew We Wanted: The Drive-In Closet

If there’s one thing we’ve learned about Koko, it’s that she loves to be organized. Not long ago, we got a peek inside her perfectly-stocked pantry, but her 150-square-foot fitness closet might take the cake. Dedicated to everything fitness and only fitness (seriously), Lisa Adams designed the space to be the ultimate in luxury – something not always associated with working out. Khloe’s closet features automatic lights, suede-lined glass display cases, a wall of pullout shelves for her impressive sneaker collection, and a fully loaded mini-fridge.

In Keri Russell’s understated-glam Brooklyn apartment, the rug is by Shaw Floors, and the linen-upholstered chair is by John Derian.

For Kacey, who loves cowboy boots so much she has her own collection, smart shoe storage was paramount to her closet redesign. And key to keeping it all organized: clear stackable shoeboxes from The Container Store.

Fashion star Anna Sui’s second Manhattan apartment—a top-floor space in the same building as her one-bedroom home—has a stylish dressing room to hold the overflow from her wardrobe. Custom shelves were designed to fit her many shoe boxes, which are labeled with Polaroids of their contents. Striped hooks offer a perch for to protect delicate sequined items from getting crushed.

When you’ve been on The Bachelor, you need plenty of room for all the gowns – and bikinis – you’ve worn to be a standout on the show. Vanessa took us on a personal tour to show us her swimsuit storage secrets.

One of many perks to having a supermodel mom? Getting to play dress-up in her closet, as Kaia Gerber can attest.

The standout among Jimmy Choo founder Tamara Mellon’s multiple closets is the one created especially for her collection of more than 400 pairs of shoes, arranged by color and type. Pairs not on display are stored in boxes labeled with photos for easy identification. Mellon also has a separate closet for her jeans, and she color coordinates her wardrobe seasonally with the help of a firm called the Practical Princess.

In 2008, InStyle went inside the actress’s 133-square-foot closet and rearranged it all for her – and in 2015, the star confided she left it exactly as they styled it, color-coded hanging jeans and all.

What Chrissy’s closet has in shoes, it lacks in underwear (as her husband John Legend points out).

Khaled is so sure his shoe closet, built to “glorify his sneakers,” is unparalelled, he had his “We the Best” motto built into the hardwood floor.

You wouldn’t expect anything less than a spectacular collection of Birkin bags and an hourglass containing 5,000 diamonds from the lady who had her own show called Life in the Fab Lane, right?

The Hills star turned lifestyle entrepreneur calls her closet “organized chaos,” though if that’s what chaos looks like, we don’t want to know what adjective describes our setup.

Blake Lively has certainly taken a page out of Serena Van Der Woodsen’s book when it comes to fashion, but now it seems she’s mimicked her closet too. Lively posted a sweet photo on Instagram thanking a friend for her new vanity tray, but the gift is overshadowed by her enormous closet in the background, holding shelves upon shelves of shoes alone. From the looks of it, the actress is a fan of pumps.

Kim’s Kloset has undergone a bunch of (tear-inducing) makeovers at this point, but it’s nice to know that even a former stylist and current clotheshorse embraces closet chaos once in a while.

Everybody loves…luggage? That’s the case for the actor, who worked with Lisa Adams to turn a 40-square-foot space into a storage space for his travel accessories. Adams added custom angled and curved shelving into the space, as well as wall hooks for hanging backpacks or tote bags. A bottom shelf spacious enough to fit the actor’s largest luggage.

The dressing room of fashion designer Nanette Lepore’s Manhattan townhouse is filled with glamourous accents, including a mirrored chest and cabinets, cascading glass chandelier, and a plush velvet-upholstered ottoman (a perfect perch for toy poodle Bunny). Vintage apparel dominates one area, while another is reserved for Lepore’s own creations. The Chinese Art Deco rug is from ABC Carpet & Home.

The model-turned-actress had so much trouble keeping everything in her killer closet straight, she invented an app, Finery, to help her catalog the collection.

The stylist (and style star in his own right) showcases “daring and crazy” pieces from his wardrobe in his walk-in closet.

Give ’em heel! The star proves she’s all about the power of the platform with her truly stacked (get it?) shoe closet.

In the understatement of the year, the youngest Jenner describes her shoe collection as “pretty much every girl’s dream.”

Architect Calvin Tsao knew that designer Josie Natori’s high-style wardrobe couldn’t be stored in just any closet. So he created a bold cinnabar-red boudoir and dressing room in her New York City apartment to display her clothing and well-organized collection of shoes and accessories. The imperial color scheme even appears in small details, like the silk-covered shoe stuffers.

Forget huge kitchens, million-dollar views, and blue-chip furnishings. Often the best room in a celebrity’s home is the most private — the closet. For these design-world stars, the spaces created to contain their wardrobes reflect their personal style as much as the clothes (and shoes!) within — whether it’s designed with tailored masculinity, feminine allure, or over-the-top glamour.

The Facebook founder has lots of decisions to make in a day, so it makes sense that he’s eliminated “What should I wear to work?” as one of them.

The Glee star and LadyGang podcast host opened up her closet and shared some of her most treasured items with PeopleStyle, including these jeans which she wore when she and her husband had their first kiss. She also welcomed her co-hosts, entertainment reporter Keltie Knight and fashion designer Jac Vanek, to stop by to share their favorite pieces with us too.
