Art Media And Design Ba Majors Undergraduate Academics Art Media And Design Ba Majors Undergraduate Academics

Art, Media, and Design is a program of interdisciplinary study for a Bachelor of Arts degree with three concentrations: Studio Art, Photography and Media Art, and Graphic Art. Each of the concentrations comprises wide varieties of comparative courses, specifically designed to enhance students’ creativity, productivity, artistic and analytic skills and the grasp of the subject matter on the whole. Students will f​irst complete required core courses and then follow with the requirements of their desired area of concentration.

Students in the Art, Media, and Design department can choose from the following concentrations:

We offer the 3+3 BA/JD Program, which allows high-achieving first-year undergraduate students to be admitted simultaneously to the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (LAS) and the College of Law (LAW). You’ll complete your first three years in LAS and your final three years in LAW.

Depending on your interest, you’ll spend time in photography dark rooms, wood and metal workshops, and in studios in the following art areas: sculpture, printmaking, video, photography, digital photography, graphic art, painting and drawing.

Photography and Media Art Studio Art Graphic Art Pre-Professional Study: Students combine their art major with other disciplines to prepare for graduate study in animation, business, communications, graphic design, and in the history of art and architecture.
